ハッチカンカンとは福江島の銘菓で、豊作祈願が起源です。
雷などの８つの災厄を防ぐという意味です。
串に刺さった３つの団子で、きな粉がかかっています。
食べる前に「はっちかんかん、だご３つ」と言わなければいけません。
Hacchikankan is a famous confection of Fukue island,
which originated from praying for a good harvest.
It means warding off eight disasters such as lightning.
Then, it is a set of three dumplings stuck on a stick and coated with soybean flour.
You need to say "Hacchikankan, dago mittsu" before eating it.

万年: perennially
反抗期: rebellious age
