Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun Episode 6

魔法をかけて、あ・げ・る♡

― I'll Cast a Spell on You

The screentone-sticking scene reminded me of LOVE STAGE Episode 5.

●野崎くんちのBGMは持ち寄りです。
  Nozaki-kun chi no BGM ha mochiyori ka desu
― The BGM at Nozaku-kun's house is whatever we bring.

●今日は野崎君に差し入れがあるんだ。
  Kyou ha Nozaki-kun ni sashiire ga arunda
― I brought you a gift today, Nozaki-kun!

突き指するのこわいから、いやだ。
  Tsukiyubi suru no kowai kara iya da
― I'm scared of hurting my hand... So no.

突き指する: jam/sprain one's finger
商売道具だからなぁ右手。
  Shoubai-dougu dakarana naa migite
― Well, my right hand is the tool of my trade.

●先輩とバスケしたら気分転換になるかと思ったんですが。
  Senpai to basuke shitara kibuntenkan ni naru ka to omottan desu ga
― I thought it'd be a nice change of pace to play basketball with you.

○ちょうどいい気晴らしじゃ。存分に暴れてやろう。
  Choudo ii kibarashi ja Zonbun ni abarete yarou
― This is a nice change of pace. I get to let loose.

●そのせいかただでさえ不眠症なのにますますひどくなっちゃって。
  Sono sei ka tadadesae fuminsyou nanoni masumasu hidoku nacchatte
― I already suffered from insomnia, but because of that, it's gotten even worse.

[Example]
近頃少し不眠症だ。⇒あまりよく眠れていない。
 Chikagoro sukoshi Fuminsyou da ⇒ Amari yoku nemurete inai
― I am not sleeping properly these days.

愚痴だったら聞くぞ。
  Guchi dattara kiku zo
― If you want to vent, I'll listen.

愚痴: complain,  grumble

●妙に元気そうだな。
  Myouni genki sou da na
― You seem oddly chipper.

●若松は女に喧嘩売るタイプじゃないもんな。
  Wakamatsu ha onna ni kenka uru taipu ja nai mon na
― You aren't the type to pick a fight with a girl, Wakamatsu.

Literally translates "sell a fight"

⇔喧嘩を買う (kenka wo kau) "buy a fight"take up a fight 

[FYI]
売り言葉に買い言葉
 Uri-kotoba ni kai-kotoba
― One ill word asks another. / tit for tat

  Kakunaru ue ha
― If all else fails...

決闘を申し込むわ!!
  Kettou wo moushikomu wa
― I challenge you to a duel!

果たし状の書き方が分からないので漫画を参考にしてみました。
  Hatashijou no kakikata ga wakaranai node manga wo sankou ni shite mimashita
― I didn't know how to write a challenge letter, so I used the manga as an example.

●お前、丸文字書くんだな。
  Omae marumoji kakunn da na
― You have bubbly handwriting.

丸文字: girly rounded handwriting

●大体、何で俺ばっかりいびってくるんですか?
  Daitai nande ore bakkari ibitte kurun desu ka
― Not to mention, why do you always come after me?

いびる: torment 

●せお先輩と違ってあの人は癒し系です。
  Seo senpai to chigatte ano hito ha iyashi-kei desu
― Unlike you, Seo-senpai, she's the healing type!

●眠れないっていうのは俺にとって死活問題なので
  Nemurenai tte iu no ha ore ni totte shikatu-mondai nanode
― For me, not being able to sleep is a life-or-death situation...

●何で素直に受け取らなかったの?
  Nande sunao ni uketora nakatta no
― Why didn't I just take it at face value?

●野崎くん、素直に寝て。
  Nozaki-kun, sunao ni nete
― Nozaki-kun, just cooperate and sleep.
素直に: amenably

フォローするよ。
  Follow suru yo

― I'll back you up.

●こいつがめんどくせぇ女なのは分かった。
  Koitsu ga mendokusee onna nano ha wakatta
― I understand that this chick's really annoying.

めんどくせぇ⇒面倒臭い(mendoukusai)

●お前らの周りろくないねぇな。
  Omaera no mawari rokuna onna inee na
― You guys have no decent women around you, do you?

The word is always followed by a negative adverb.

[Example]
ろくな人間になれないぞ。
 Rokuna ningen ni narenai zo
― You'll never amount to a thing.

●ほんと親バカだなこの人。
  Honto oyabaka dana kono hito
― He really is a doting parent.

●ものすごく危険な裏ルートで手に入れてるものなんじゃ?
  Monosugoku kiken na ura ru-to de te ni ireteru mono nannja
― Is he getting these through some dangerous black marcket connection?
裏ルート: back channel

●じゃあ間とって「カマ」にするか?
  Jaa aida totte Kama ni suru ka
― Why not compromise and go with "Kama"?

カマ: fag
