●谷川岳の2つの山頂を「トマの耳」と「オキの耳」って言うんだよね。
Tanigawa-dake no futatsu no sanchou wo "Toma no Mimi" to "Oki no Mimi" tte iun dayone
― Mt. Tanigawa's two summits are called "Toma Ear" and "Oki Ear."
●2つの山頂が猫の耳に見えたから、そういう名前になったんだって。
Futatsu no sanchou ga neko no mimi ni mieta kara sou iu namae ni nattan datte
― They were given those names because the two summits look like cat ears.
●トマが山の入り口側で、オキが奥って意味だったかな。
Toma ga yama no iriguchi gawa de Oki ga oku tte imi datta kana
― Maybe "Toma" means the mountain entrance side, and "Oki" means the inside?
トマ (toma) ← とば口 (tobakuchi) ≒ 入り口: entrance
オキ (oki) ← 奥 (oku): inside
●山小屋は肩の小屋って言うのよ。
Yamagoya ha kata no koya tte iunoyo
― The mountain hut is called "Shoulder Hut."
●ぐんまちゃんに会えますように。
Gunma-chan ni aemasu youni
― Let me meet Gunma-chan.
Gunma-chan is named the champion of the 2014 mascot character contest.
